EPCs are a well-known and accepted modeling language that use events as an integral part of their model, in contrast to other established process languages like BPEL or BPMN which are rather Web service centric and do not enforce to use events at the modeling level. In this paper, we use EPCs as the basis for integration of process logic with event-based systems, building a common view that integrates process and event-logic.
